The best hand is the “nuts.” This is the best hand that you can get at any given time. This is the best possible hand if you have a pair of sevens in your hole and a three-card board. The other best hand is a straight that has two different suits. A backdoor flush is the best hand possible when you have a pair of sevens in your hole and three-card community card on the board.
Poker rules vary from game to game. The basic rules are the same, however. In most cases, the players use a standard 52-card deck. Depending on the game, the deck may be more or less or add jokers to the deck. The cards are ranked high to low – the Ace can be high or low. There are four suits on the deck – the red chip is worth five whites, blue chip is worth 10 or twenty-five whites, and the dark-colored chips are worth two, four, or five reds. Players buy in to the game by buying poker chips. In most games, the players buy in for the same amount of chips.
